Industrial clerk and equestrian expert Eva Bitter discovered her love of horses when she was just five years old and began riding with her parents at Manfred Kötter's stables.
At the age of ten she was already competing in novice jumping and dressage competitions. She later changed completely to jumping, where she gained experience on gelding Winston up to advanced level.
She celebrated her first place on the winners' rostrum and therefore her first big successes in 1993 in the "Preis der Besten" competition in Warendorf. This was followed by her first Nations' Cup participation at the European Young Riders' Championships in Spangenberg. This is where she won team gold, as well as fourth place in the individual ranking. Significant victories for Eva also included the German Five-Year-Old Showjumper Federal Championship competition with Stakkato in 1998 followed by the Five-Year-Old Showjumper competition in Warendorf in 2013 with Sandokan, son of Stakkato.
She also had the good fortune to be trained by Ludger Beerbaum and Heinrich-Wilhelm Johannsmann.
In 2003, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2014 she won the gold medal at the German Showjumping Championships. These are some of her greatest successes so far.
